Canal Plastics is one of the best place for plastic material in New York City. They have been around for decades and are one of those businesses you can only imagine in New York City.
There are always amazing art material store on Canal Street. But they are disappearing as new stores are emerging. Earlier this year Pearl Paint on Canal Street closed. I was really depressed about that and thought, thank goodness we still have Canal Plastics.
Canal Plastics is inspiring and creative for me all the time. I want to show it's personality visually.

Many people give out food and clothing to people on the streets. However, SpaceShip Inc. want to enfranchise the homeless with a novel approach. To enable the receiving of “handouts” with more dignity and respect, we'll deliver essentials to them wrapped in packages as if they did in fact have a mailing address.
Our project is being launched in MFA Design Studio, School of Visual Arts, New York. We have made 20 packages and have tested out our idea. It works perfectly. Now we want to give out more packages and enabling additional people to be more comfortable this winter.
Why we call it SpaceShip Inc.?
Everyone has difficult times at some point in their lives, including me. A homeless guy at The Bowery Mission told me: “My life now seems to be in outer space and I’m an astronaut. There’s no gravity. I’m floating. There’s no sound. It’s empty.” We are delivering them supplies to survive in space.

In China, people has a mixed reception to iPhone. A satirical iPhone 6 add posted to Sina Weibo with the slogan “Bigger Than a Kidney.” a reference to the story of a Chinese teenager who sold one of his kidney to buy an iPad and an iPhone in 2011. iPhone means something more than a phone for part of the Chinese obviously.
But which more sarcastic is that China was not on the list of countries that would receive initial shipments of the new devices. “I’ve got my kidney all ready to go and you tell me the mainland has to wait? That’s straight-up prejudice,” wrote Fan Wei, a media consultant and influential Weibo user.
So I made this phone case to encourage people to think of what an expensive good in trend means to them. Or just simply what iPhone means to them.
